Picture perfect Pittsburgh wedding venues
Planning and choosing where to host your wedding can be difficult. It is generally one of the first big decisions you will make as a couple when you start planning your wedding, and you want to make sure you get it right!
So how do you figure out what you want, and if you’ve found the dream venue?
First things first, you’ve got to decide if you want simple – or extravagant? Do you want to go all out with a guest list of hundreds, or keep it to just your nearest and dearest?
Do you want to go classic, traditional or hyper modern? Are you tempted by 5-star luxury, or prefer rustic chic?
All these factors will play into your decision making, as well as the feeling you and your other half get when you visit a venue and see it for yourselves.
We’ve pulled together a list of 3 must-see venues in Pittsburgh, to help you make your choice. Each venue would give your guests a day and night to remember.
It doesn’t get more romantic than the story behind Hyeholde Restaurant. It all began with William Kryskill telling his bride Clara, that someday he would build her a castle on the crest of a cornfield where they stood. The cornfield became the grounds now surrounding Hyeholde Restaurant, which is a castle. What he did not tell her was that they were going to build this dream with their own hands. It took them seven years, but in 1938 they served their first meals, and the venue soon became a great success.
The Round Room, Hyeholde’s private dining room offers 5-star gourmet meals and impeccable service in an unbelievable setting of stone and glass nestled into the hillside. It has become Pittsburgh’s choice for intimate weddings of between 25 to 110 people.
In addition to the fairytale indoors, you will be delighted by the grounds which feature winding stone paths, and acres of gardens and lush greens – perfect for your wedding pictures.
